The group's work focuses on interfacial coordination chemistry which deals with the catalytic properties of molecular transition metal compounds on surfaces of inorganic solids, their preparation and spectroscopic characterization.

The synthesis of solids and the modification of their surfaces centres on the development of materials with new properties and its use as catalysts for fine chemical synthesis and gas phase reactions.
