We congratulate Andreas Vohburger on the successful defense of his doctoral thesis. In his dissertation, Andreas investigated the effect of chemical additives on the reaction rate of cementitious phases. His research focused particularly on the dissolution kinetics of tricalcium silicate, as well as the nucleation of calcium hydroxide and calcium silicate hydrate. His findings are of great benefit for the development of sustainable concrete.
