Persönliches Netzwerk-Treffen in Sept. 2025, Munich

For many years, I have had the pleasure of being co-organizer of the Netzwerk Analytik, Innovative Nutzung analytischer Verfahren, an informal network comprising more than 200 individuals from over 75 different organizations. These organizations are as widely spread as the interests of our members, with Analytical Chemistry, or even more generally Analytics, being our common passion. Traditional analytics conferences primarily showcase newly developed, researched ideas and concepts. Analytics trade fairs, on the other hand, present finished products. We see ourselves as complementing both of these worlds. How do ideas researched at universities find their way into practice? What requirements do industrial companies or public authorities have for new processes? Where are the challenges, and where is there a need for research? We discuss what can become of new concepts, how these ideas find their way into application, what new devices are available, and what is needed. That is why we are delighted to have numerous members beyond the traditional analytics/conference community, such as public authorities and users from a wide range of industrial sectors. We also go one step further in terms of content: not only analytical techniques, but also laboratory automation, practical implementation, data handling, correct statistics, and chemometrics, etc. We make every effort to create an informal atmosphere to facilitate efficient exchange, especially between groups that would not otherwise meet. Bringing together completely different groups with all their ideas, questions, problems, and solutions is one of our central concerns. What makes us special is the vast range of topics, the diversity of sectors and roles represented by our members, and the overarching practical relevance to real (professional) life. Incidentally, the five of us organizers also come from different backgrounds.
We invite our members to four online seminars of about 1.5 hours, where our members present the latest in the broad field of analytical sciences. Once a year, we meet in person for a full day to talk, discuss, and have a personal exchange.
You are also interested in Analytics and want to join? Just send me an email (haisch@tum.de), and you are in. It is free, but it relies on interaction, so we may ask you to give a brief talk or presentation at one of our online or in-person meetings.
