Bimetallic Nanoparticles

The activity and stability of catalysts used in the hydrogenation of carbon oxides COx (e.g. CO2, CO) is influenced considerably by promotors. The preparation of bimetallic model systems with well-defined surfaces and compositions leads to a better understanding of the utilized promotors. The catalysts are synthesized by catalyst doping, decomposition of organometallic compounds or reductive precipitation.
