Research Areas

Dr. Madl‘s (b. 1980) research focuses on structural biology of signal transduction. Transfer of signals is essential for the organism and mainly mediated by disordered proteins. Distortions in signal transduction lead to a plethora of diseases and are linked to ageing. Dr. Madl aims to reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying interactions of disordered proteins to provide insight into the intricate link between their function, regulation and human diseases.
