The research activities cover a wide range of topics. Current highlights include a) the chemistry of gold, investigations of molecular, supramolecular and cluster structures; b) Silicon and gallium chemistry, especially hydrogen-rich compounds and their use in microelectronics; c) Organic phosphorus chemistry, especially design and chirality of new ligands, and d) Bioinorganic chemistry of magnesium and beryllium, drug design and toxicity studies.
