Organische Photochemie - Organic Photochemistry

The module provides insights into organic photochemistry and offers advanced students the opportunity to specialize in this field. In addition to the fundamentals of photochemistry (e.g. excitation, luminescence, singlet/triplet states, energy and electron transfer), the lecture discusses the most important organic photoreactions (photocycloadditions, photocyclizations, photorearrangements, hydrogen abstraction, atom transfer etc.) as well as photocatalysis (sensitization, photoredox, photoinduced radical reactions etc.). Synthetic applications will be discussed to highlight the importance of these reactions. Interested students have therefore the opportunity to gain insight into key research areas in the field of photochemistry at TUM. In this winter term, the lectures are given exclusively by Prof. Bach.
