From August 4th –  August 11th silicon chemists from all over the world met at Shandong Univeristy in Ji´nan (China) for the 18th Symposium on Silicon Chemistry (ISOS), which was held in conjunction with the 6th Asian Silicon Symposium (ASIS). Besides a series of talks, the participating PhD students had the chance to present their work in poster sessions and discuss their results with other silicon chemists. Hereby, Felix Geitner was awarded with a poster prize sponsored by Hoshine Silicon Industry Co., LTD. for his contribution “Low Oxidation State Silicon Clusters-Synthesis and Structure of [NHCDippCu(η4-Si9)]3-“.
