Prof. Schuster (*1954) conducts research in the field of trace and ultratrace analysis of elements and element species in complex matrices with a focus on chemical methods for sample preparation. Further focuses are highly selective separation and enrichment techniques in trace analysis and for the separation and recovery of heavy metals from industrial material flows.
