Research Topic:

My PhD project is located at the intersection of various disciplines, connecting two research groups, the Chair of Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry and the Chair of Medicinal and Bioinorganic Chemistry. The project will center on synthesizing peptide-based metallacages; I want to contribute to developing supramolecular coordination complexes (SCCs) suitable for biomedical applications, utilizing the unique opportunities offered by the variability of peptides as ligands. In this context, the functionalization of peptide-based metallacages will be investigated for their potential applications as drug delivery systems or imaging tools.
