Research Areas

One topic of our research is the rational and combinatorial design and synthesis of drug candidates for the inhibition of protein-protein interactions. For this purpose cyclic peptides and/or peptidomimetics are synthesized and developed into saccharids or other lead structures for drugs. Another topic is the development of new NMR methods and their application for the determination of structure and dynamics of (high-molecular) biomolecules and for the detection of their interaction with low-molecular or high-molecular ligands.
