Title: Synergistic utilization of CO2 and H2 for the production of formic acid as a C1 energy carrier and hydrogen storage medium
Description of the Project
The Syn2Form project aims to develop a new sustainable technology for the absorption of CO2 and H2. This will be done in a synergistic approach using an enzymatic technology platform in which the gaseous CO2 and green H2 are used to produce the platform chemicals formic acid and methanol. Known protein structures serve as biocatalysts, which are to be optimized using AI/deep learning/bioinformatic analyses. This optimization is intended to increase the performance of the protein complex so that a stable process can be established under realistic conditions.
